ONE is a new effort by Americans to rally Americans – ONE by ONE – to fight the emergency of global AIDS and extreme poverty. ONE is students and ministers, punk rockers and NASCAR moms, Americans of all beliefs and every walk of life, united as ONE to help make poverty history. ONE believes that allocating an additional ONE percent of the U.S. budget toward providing basic needs like health, education, clean water and food would transform the futures and hopes of an entire generation in the world's poorest
countries. ONE also calls for debt cancellation, trade reform and anti–corruption measures in a comprehensive package to help Africa and the poorest nations beat AIDS and extreme poverty.

ONE aims to help Americans raise their voice as ONE against the emergency of AIDS and extreme poverty, so that decision makers will do more to save millions
of lives in the poorest countries.

The VH1 Save The Music Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of education in America’s public schools by restoring
music programs in cities across the country, and
raising public awareness about the importance of
music participation for our nation’s youth.

VH1 Save The Music purchases new musical
instruments to restore music education programs that have been cut due to budget reductions in the past or to save programs at risk of elimination due to lack of instruments. The Foundation also conducts awareness campaigns, musical instrument drives and fundraising events.

Breast cancer is the second most common cancer in
the UK after non-melanoma skin cancer. Over 41,700 new cases are diagnosed every year.

Breast cancer claims the lives of 12,700 women each year in the UK. Men can also get breast cancer but it is rare (around 300 cases are diagnosed each year). The good news is that – thanks to earlier detection and improved treatment – breast cancer death rates in the UK have fallen by a fifth in the last ten years.

At Cancer Research UK we spend over £25 million a year on research into breast cancer. Our work
covers all aspects of the disease, from its molecular causes through to treatment and prevention.

In 2007 PDSA celebrates 90 years of caring for the
sick and injured animals of people in need. We are proud
of our heritage, our achievements and our values. For it
is these that have made PDSA what it is today; the
UK's leading veterinary charity. But we cannot afford to
stand still as the need for our veterinary care is as great as ever. As is PDSA’s determination to expand our PetAid services.

PDSA is the largest private employer of fully qualified veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses in Europe.

PDSA exists to care for the pets of needy people by providing free veterinary services to their sick and injured animals and promoting responsible pet ownership.

We provide a caring and professional veterinary
service and in order maintain the quality of this
service, and to reach as many eligible clients as possible, we work towards four strategic priorities.

  1. To maintain the PDSA charitable service in
every community in which it is available on a stable and sustainable basis

  2. To expand the PDSA charitable service in line with a clear and controlled business plan as widely as funds and circumstances permit

  3. To raise the public's perception and awareness of the Society's work in order to increase understanding and encourage funding for that work.

  4. To deliver a varied programme of responsible pet care initiatives.
